What is Family Learning

Harrow Adult Community and Family Learning Service offers a range of opportunities to help you and your family learning together - parents, grandparents, carers and children.

Courses and activities are fun, informative and are usually free or with a small registration charge. They are held in a variety of venues across the borough - schools, community centres, children centres and church halls.

They give the opportunity to meet with other parents and families, understand how your children are taught in school, build up confidence, support parenting skills and give access to new skills and interests.

These are some of the comments that families have said about courses in Harrow:

"These courses are a wonderful opportunity to explore something new and spend quality time with the children"

"It is the only time I spend with my family. I love coming to Yoga with my mum. It helps me concentrate with my school work and when I am tired I do a few Yoga exercises and it wakes me up"

"It teaches you how to live with your neighbours. How not to be, you know, like stangers"

"I am more close with my children, I can understand them better - it has improved the family life a lot"
